NCAA Bound!

Looks like we will traveling to Greencastle, IN (Depauw) for the first 3 rounds of the NCAA III Tournament! Since we didn't win our conference tournament we had to wait until late Monday afternoon to know if we received a bid into the tournament. Our #12 ranking and strength of schedule got us into the tournament and earned us the #2 seed in the Depauw bracket.

We are fortunate not only to make the tournament but also to play out of the West region. DIII is a bit different than DI tournaments in that it is based around regional play. If a school resides within 500 of a host site they are required to play at that site. That means the West region is a nightmare -- the #1 (UC Santa Cruz) and #2 (CMS) teams in the nation both have to play in West regional tournament. Too bad because only one of these teams will make it to the final 8. Additionally, the other teams in this bracket are forced to play two of the best teams in the nation.
